Also Tribe of Subfamily Melolonthinae.

Cheirotonus is a genus of long-armed Beetles (Coleopters Scarabaeidae, subfamily Euchirinae) with about 10 species and a distribution that extends west along the Himalayas to eastern Japan.
They live in tree hollows in mountain forests and are attracted to lights. Males and females show a marked sexual imorphism in the size and structure of the legs, with males having exaggeratedly elongated front tibias. The pronotum is bright green and the elytra are generally dark with orange patterns.
Eight to ten species are recognised, depending on the taxonomic treatment.
