Gonepteryx  rhamni one wing lenght cm 2.4-2.7 Insect Butterfly Pieridae, A1- quality (specimen present slight imperfections).
Common name: The Common Brimstone.
Syn. Papilio ecclipsis, Papilio rhamni.

The name "butterfly" is believed to have originated from Gonepteryx rhamni, which early British naturalists called the "butter fly".
The females of Gonepteryx rhamni can be confused with those of G. cleopatra in the places where they live, but the particular shape of the apex of the anterior wing is more pointed and protruding in G. rhamni. In many females of G. cleopatra there is a slight orange dusting on the right of the basal area of the rear wing.
