Delias pheres approximata is a species of butterfly of the family Pieridae, subfamily Pierinae, described in 1922 by Joicey & Talbot.

Delias is a genus of butterflies in the Pieridae family. There are about 250 species of Delias, which are found in South Asia and Australia.
The Delias genus is believed to have had its evolutionary origins in the Australian region.
Synonyms of the Delias genus are: Cathaemia, Symmachlas, Harpanota, Thyca, Piccarda.
