WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

L'ARCA DI NOE' is on sale of naturalistic articles since some years, even if its founders have begun to be interested in this sector since young, to the beginning for hobby and passion towards natural sciences, than with personal and university studies, and finally doing it one profession.

Our activity takes care of various fields, as it already suggests the name that we have given ourselves.

Malacology, our first passion, is (we say it immediately, in order to avoid it becomes first question that you'll turn us) the doctrine that is taken care of the study of the Molluscs and, in particular, of their "houses", the shells coming from all the world.

Other field of our competence is the entomology, with the collection, the classification and the preparation of Insects and other Invertebrates, also in this case coming from every angle of the globe.

To steal also your second question, we say to you that we propose most of species already dead, supplying them ready for your collections; however we have also some species alive to breed.

We deal moreover paleontology and mineralogy, with specimens and pieces of every kinds of fossils and minerals, that they go from the small piece in order to begin one collection to that more important for the demanding collector.

An ulterior passion that we cultivate from many years, an art which is almost disappeared, at least in our Country, is the taxidermy of Vertebrates like mounted birds, fish, reptiles, etc. (a prayer: don't ask us to stuff your mother-in-law!...)

At the end, for all those people who don't approach this field from experts or collectors, but only with curiosity for the world of the Nature, we have a large range of items as regards these themes, as you can find in almost all our catalogues, like the keyholder in resin with included an insect, or knick-knack and trinkets, shark's jaws, sea-urchins and starfish in order to furnish your sitting-room, acquarium and more again that we invite to you to discover.
