Remarkable representative collectible fossil specimen difficult to find and of excellent quality, perfectly preserved. Maxillary portion with numerous palatine teeth, which in life helped the animal to guide food into the throat.

The Archery (Archeria crassidisca) is a primitive extinct Labyrinthodont Tetrapod (Reptiliomorpha) belonging to the order of Anthracosauria, family Archeriidae, vaguely similar to that of a Salamander, but related to primitive reptiles. His remains were found in the Lower Permian lands (about 290 million years ago) in Europe and North America.
The body of the archery was elongated and narrow, as was the tail. The latter was flattened vertically and equipped with vertebral expansions that were going to support a real fin, which allowed the animal a better propulsion in the water. The archery was a predator about two meters long, which caught fish and other animals by means of the long and thin snout, armed with numerous small sharp teeth. His immediate relatives are to be found in a group of animals known as embolomers, similar to amphibians but probably related to the ancestors of reptiles. A very similar animal, but larger in size, is Eogyrinus.
