Ryssota ovum mm 70-90 Land Snail Terrestrial Shell Tropical Air-Breathing Semi-Slug Pulmonate Gastropoda.
Family: Helicarionidae.
Common name: Polished Muffin Snail, Land Snail Bayuku.
Syn. Ryssota otoheitana, Rhysota ovum humerosa, Helix ovum, Ryssota uranus angulata.

This species is the largest land snail in the Philippines. Shells of Ryssota ovum can reach a diameter of 100 millimetres. These very large shells vary in color from pale brown to maroon and sometimes they show a brighter apex. The aperture is large and the interior may be white or bluish-white.
Not to be confused with the similar species Lamarckiella stolephora lamarckiana (also called Ryssota lamarckiana).
